Cushman & Wakefield, the international, privately-held commercial real estate services firm, announced the promotion of Eric Olofson to executive vice chairman.
Olofson has managed Cushman & Wakefield’s West Los Angeles office since 1999 and has been the company’s top-producing broker for the U.S. West Region annually since 2005, and in 2008 he became the company’s first West Region professional to be named to his previously-held title of vice chairman.
“We are delighted to name Eric Executive Vice Chairman-a title that is rarely awarded at Cushman & Wakefield,” said James M. Underhill, Cushman & Wakefield’s CEO of the Americas.
Olofson’s community involvement includes past chairman of the board of directors for The UCLA Foundation and chairman of the Los Angeles region of the Boys Scouts of America.

Patrick Arangio has been promoted to vice chairman of CBRE’s Capital Markets Group. At 34, Arangio, with 13 years of experience in the industry and more than $18 billion in loan sales, becomes the youngest vice chairman named to the group.
Previously, Arangio has served as the transaction manager or co-project manager of CBRE’s Capital Markets’ National Loan Sale Advisory Group. He has been involved in a variety of portfolio assignments including sales of all types of loans secured by all product types throughout North America.
Arangio graduated from Cornell University with a bachelor’s degree in English. He is also a member of the Cornell Real Estate Council.

New Boston Fund’s Kirk Sykes has been appointed Chairman of the Board of Directors for the Real Estate Executive Council (REEC), an association formed to promote minority executives in the commercial real estate industry.
Sykes will succeed Quintin Primo III, who served as Chairman since the inception in 2003. Sykes was previously the Vice Chairman for the past three years.
Sykes attended the Harvard University Business School’s owner and presidents management program, the MIT Center for Real Estate Development’s commercial development executive program, and the L’Ecole Polytechnique in Paris, France. He earned his bachelor’s of architecture from Cornell University.

Brian S. Parrish, MBA, president and CEO at the newly-formed PARADIGM Real Estate LLC in Milwaukee, WI, is optimistic about the future of his new venture. His new commercial real estate firm will provide sophisticated commercial real estate brokerage and corporate services for businesses, property owners and investors.
Parrish had spent more than seven years at The Dickman Company, a prominent Milwaukee brokerage firm, where he most recently held the title of vice president and partner.
In addition to an undergraduate degree in real estate and finance from UW-Madison, he holds an MBA from UW-Milwaukee. Though he is proficient in all forms of commercial real estate, his self-proclaimed specialty is in the industrial market. Among other distinctions, Brian Parrish serves as a planning commission member for the City of Mequon, vice president of economic development for Washington County, WI, and was previous president for the IFMA Southeast Wisconsin chapter.

Flagler Real Estate Services has hired Scott Bell as a vice president and Phil Marchese (pictured, right) as director of leasing, expanding its Central Florida leasing team. The duo has been tasked with leasing of Flagler’s regional portfolio, which includes SouthPark Center in Orlando, Maitland Promenade II and the Reserve at Maitland.
Bell’s 30 years of commercial real estate experience has seen a transaction volume that exceeds $850 million in the Florida market, having worked with major companies. Bell most recently worked at Jones Lang LaSalle Brokerage, serving as managing director, and before that he held positions at CBRE, Lincoln Property Company, and Carter. Marchese brings nearly 10 years of real estate experience, having served as an office broker with Morrison Commercial Real Estate.
“Scott is a highly regarded and accomplished broker and we’re pleased to welcome him, along with a rising star, Phil Marchese,” said Keith Tickell, COO of Flagler.
Both Bell and Marchese are active in NAIOP, and both hold bachelor’s degrees from the University of Central Florida.

Terri-lynn Mitchell has joined Cassidy Turley as a senior vice president. She will lead property management operations in Florida while focusing on business development and client relations for building management services.
Mitchell brings 20 years of industry experience, having held positions with Stiles Corp., RREEF, and Means Knaus Partners, where she most recently served as senior property manager for trophy assets including the SunTrust Financial Center in Tampa’s CBD.
Mitchell serves on the board of directors and as vice president of the BOMA Greater Tampa Bay chapter. She is a graduate of Florida State University.

Scott D. German has joined Colliers International Greater Phoenix as vice president of office properties in the firm’s Scottsdale office. German specializes in the lease and sale of Scottsdale offices buildings as well as financial analysis, contract negotiation, development consultation, and land acquisition.
Spanning 28 years, German’s career in the Greater Phoenix commercial real estate industry has seen the completion of more than 2,000 lease and sale transactions in the office, medical and industrial sectors. He most recently served as vice president at CBRE, where he helped lead the industrial team in build-to-suit distribution, light industrial parks and two large multi-tenant office parks over the last six years. He also served as vice president at NAI Horizon for 11 years, and a senior associate at CBS Property Services for almost 10 years.

Cresa Washington DC has promoted Mike Alcamo to company vice president. The corporate real estate advisory firm exclusively represents tenants.
Alcamo joined the company in June 2012 as a senior advisor, and he has assisted companies and organizations across a wide range of industries throughout the Washington, DC and Baltimore markets, including Howard University, Fujitec America, Wood Partners and Sonalysts
