Velocity Retail Group has appointed Greg Coxon to chief operating officer of the firm and its affiliated development company, Accelerated Development Services. In his new role, Coxon will oversee the day to day operations for brokerage, development and asset management business practices while growing the service platforms to enrich the firm’s offerings for its clients.
Coxon previously served as president of brokerage services for the former Grubb & Ellis, transitioning into the role of executive vice president and regional manager for Newmark Grubb Knight Frank during the company’s acquisition. Before that he worked as a senior managing director at CBRE in Phoenix, where he was named Manager of the Year and was the founding manager for various specialty practice groups within the firm.
The core group at Velocity Retail worked together at CBRE until 2005.

Duke Realty Corporation (NYSE: DRE) has promoted James B. Connor to senior executive vice president and chief operating officer. In his new role, Connor will take direct responsibility for real estate operations across the country.
Connor has been with Duke Realty since 1998, joining the firm’s Chicago office as a senior vice president of industrial operations. In 2003 he was promoted to regional executive vice president of Midwest operations, and in 2009 was again promoted to senior regional executive vice president. He is currently a member of the group’s executive, investment, and operating committees.
Prior to Duke, Connor spent 17 years in industrial real estate with Cushman & Wakefield. He received his bachelor’s degree in business administration and real estate finance from Western Illinois University.

Inland Real Estate Investment Corp., a sponsor of real estate investment trusts and private securities products, tapped Mitchell Sabshon as CEO. Sabshon is set to take his new position in mid-August. He succeeds Robert Parks, who will continue as chairman of the company.
Sabshon previously served as COO of Phoenix-based Cole Real Estate Investments where he was responsible for overseeing the company’s financing, leasing, property management, and asset management operations. Before Cole, Sabshon spent 10 years at Goldman Sachs in several different capacities, including president and CEO of Goldman Sachs Commercial Mortgage Capital.
Sabshon received his undergraduate degree from George Washington University and his law degree at Hofstra University School of Law.

Peter L. DiCapua has joined CodeGreen Solutions as chairman of the company. CodeGreen’s continued innovation has led to the firm becoming one of the leading providers of sustainable energy solutions for commercial properties.
DiCapua will work to grow the company’s client portfolio and continue to provide solutions for energy resources for real estate owners. He was previously chief operating officer of ATCO, a real estate firm based in New York City. DiCapua has also served as president of BOMA NY and vice chair of the New York Building Congress.

Transwestern has named Chip Clarke as its president of the Americas, and Kevin Roberts (pictured, right) as its president of the Southwest.
Clark’s promotion was in response to the needs of its new expansion into Latin America. Clarke previously served as president of the Gulf Coast and Mountain regions.
Roberts’ promotion was also a result of the expansion and reorganization of Transwestern. The Southwest region includes Central Texas and the Gulf Coast and Mountain regions. The offices are located in Houston, San Antonio, Austin, New Orleans, Denver and Salt Lake City. Roberts previously served as president of the Central Texas region.
As part of the services growth initiative, a joint venture between Transwestern and a Latin American-based commercial real estate firm soon will begin offering services throughout the region. Transwestern serves clients through 150 offices in 30 countries as part of a strategic global alliance.

Russ Warner has been promoted to senior vice president, manufactured housing and self-storage at NAI Horizon. The firm is expanding its investment capabilities by honoring one of the industry’s top brokers in this specialty subset.
Warner began his career as an appraiser at Winius Montandon, holding the MAI designation and serving as president of the Phoenix chapter of the Appraisal Institute in 1999. He joined Grubb & Ellis where he focused on industrial investments, and over the past ten years has specialized in the sale of manufactured housing communities, RV parks, and self-storage properties. He has been recognized as one of a few experts in these specialized investment segments.
NAI Horizon is a full-service real estate provider to local and national clients. Established in 1992, the firm is a member of the NAI Global network, serving the greater Phoenix area.

Thomas Jodry has been named senior vice president of development management at Trammell Crow. He will serve in the firm’s Northern California business unit, based in San Francisco, CA.
Jodry was previously with Legacy Partners as the senior vice president of facilities. Throughout his 30-year career, Jodry has held various positions including senior construction manager for Prentiss Properties Ltd., vice president of construction for Simeon Properties, and senior construction manager for special projects at Pacific Bell.
He holds a bachelor’s degree in construction management from Trinity University in San Antonio.

Equity has hired Mike Concilla as senior vice president in its newly opened Southwest Florida office located in Naples, where he will continue to serve his local clients in a brokerage capacity and will also work on development projects throughout the southeast.
Concilla has more than 20 years of experience, having served as a development executive for a successful town center development in addition to overseeing the construction and development of 30 restaurants and 25 assisted living facilities across the country. He also has experience in all facets of commercial real estate, including contract negotiations, due diligence, budgets and financial analysis, and construction.
Concilla holds a Master of City and Regional Planning from The Ohio State University. He is a licensed real estate agent in the state of Florida and a member of the American Planning Association (APA), the Urban Land Institute (ULI), and the International Council of Shopping Centers (ICSC).

R. T. Walker has joined the CBRE Pittsburgh office. He will hold the position of vice president, and will lead the firm’s new oil and gas service division.
Walker was previously with Pittsburgh-based Beynon & Co. where he developed a talent for serving oil and gas companies moving into the region. His role at CBRE will extend his reach outside the Pittsburgh region to oil and gas companies in the national market.
Walker won the Energy Leadership Award for the region in 2011 and 2012. He was a finalist for the National Oil and Gas Award.
