Korth Joins Colliers Int’l as Executive Vice President

Colliers International has appointed Mindy Korth, a commercial executive with nearly 30 years of experience in the greater Phoenix market, as executive vice president. She has been tasked with driving the ’s investment sales, developing business strategies, and working with other brokers to complete transactions.

Korth previously served as ’s executive vice president of investment for the past 29 years, including 22 years at Trammell Crow Company prior to its merger in 2006. Throughout her career, Korth has completed more than $2.5 billion in transactions representing more than 18 million square feet. Before that she was a certified public accountant at Deloitte.

“Mindy is a team player with extensive transactional skills and outstanding relationships with national clients who have trusted her with major complex deals for years,” said Bob Mulhern, managing director of Colliers. “The recent addition of Mindy and several other talented brokers places Colliers into a robust position for 2014.”

CBRE Promotes Mitchell to SVP

CBRE has promoted James Mitchell in its Orlando office to senior vice president. Mitchell has been with the company for 13 years, with a retail focus on site acquisition, disposition and transaction management for national and regional users. Additionally, he represents more than 1 million square feet of retail shopping centers and has overseen several ground-up retail projects for clients.

Mitchell has been recognized for continued high performance metrics in his specialty based on production numbers, and has retained multi-year representation of numerous national brands in Florida including Kohl’s, McDonalds, RaceTrac Petroleum, PGA Tour Superstore, of America, Office Depot, Fifth Third and SunTrust . He is also a member of CBRE’s retail advisory council, a global group of hand-picked brokers guiding the overall direction and strategy of the firm’s retail services.

CBRE|Hampton Roads Promotes Remick

CBRE|Hampton Roads promoted Worth Remick, SIOR, to senior vice president.

Remick has leased or sold more than 10 million square feet of industrial, flex and office space in a career that spans more than 27 years. Since 2007, Remick has been a part of the company’s port practice group, a division which specializes in international trade and port-related developments.

Remick is a member of the Hampton Roads Association for Commercial Real Estate (HRACRE) and is on the executive committee of the Old Dominion Center for Real Estate and Economic Development. He received his bachelor’s degree in humanities from Hampden-Sydney College.

 


SEATTLE

JLL Expands Seattle Capital Markets Team

Jones Lang LaSalle has hired David Otis as vice president of its Seattle team led by Lori Hill and Stuart Williams.

Previously of Ernst & Young’s Irvine office, Otis brings a strong track record to , successfully closing more than $250 million in office and hotel transaction during his career, including positions at DTZ, Voit Real Estate Services and Investcorp.

Otis holds an MBA from UCLA’s Anderson School of Management and received his bachelor’s at Washington State University. He is a mentor for Big Brothers Big Sisters and has volunteered at Esparanza International, building homes for the needy in Tijuana, Mexico.

Dyer Joins CBRE Occupier Services Team

Thomas Dyer has joined CBRE’s occupier services group in Tampa, FL. The team assists clients with occupancy needs across office, industrial, retail and specialized properties.

Dyer previously served as a vice president at DTZ, where he worked with mid-cap companies to optimize their portfolio strategies while managing real estate transactions throughout Florida.

“Tom brings a special set of skills and relationships with mid cap companies, which are extremely active in the Tampa Bay market,” said Patricia Nooney, senior managing Director, Tampa. “He’s a fantastic complement to our Occupier Services team.”

JLL Hires New VP of Project Development Svcs

Nigel Light has joined Jones Lang LaSalle as a vice president, set to lead the firm’s project services development group in the Northeast.

Light has more than 30 years of commercial real estate experience, specializing in quantity surveying and cost management. Based in Stamford, CT, Light and his team will serve as JLL’s single point of contact for budget control and project cost forecasting on commercial construction in the Northeast.

Prior to joining JLL, Light operated as a pre-construction manager for KBE Building Corp, chief estimator for Walsh Brothers in Boston, MA, and as a senior estimating engineer for Turner Construction Companies. Additionally, Light is a member of the Nutmeg Chapter 60 of the American Society of Professional Estimators.


LOS ANGELES

Paladin Realty Hires Two New Executives

Paladin Realty has hired Lisa Colacurcio as managing director. She will primarily focus on business development and investor relations.

Anthony Yabut has also joined the company as a vice president. He will focus on tax and regulatory matters for the firm’s institutional funds.

Colacurcio has 20 years of international real estate experience. She previously served with UBS Wealth Management Real Estate Asia where she developed an investment platform topping $2 billion in major commercial assets. Before that she held positions with Jardine Fleming Asia and Banque Paribas in .

Yabut was previously a senior accountant at The Rockefeller Company, where he focused on tax compliance and accounting. He also worked at Deloitte & Touche LLP. He is a certified public accountant (CPA) in the state of New York and New Jersey.


CLEVELAND / NORTHERN OHIO

Brokers Move From Tom Jackson Commercial to CBRE

Dean Bacopoulos and Steve Lazarides made the jump from Tom Jackson Commercial Realty to CBRE. Both were at Tom Jackson Commercial Realty for more than 10 years.

The two brokers will join CBRE’s Akron, OH office. The move takes them about 25 miles away from Canton, OH, where Tom Jackson Commercial Realty is currently located.

Bacopoulos and Lazarides both specialize in sales and leasing. They join CBRE in brokerage services as senior associates.


ATLANTA

Hartman Simons & Wood Hires New Senior Counsel

Joseph J. Fucile, an attorney specializing in commercial real estate, joined Hartman Simons & Wood, an Atlanta-based law firm, as senior counsel.

Fucile obtained his law degree from the University of Florida, where he also holds a Master’s Degree in urban and regional planning. He previously worked as director of real estate services for the University System of Georgia where, during his nearly six-year tenure, he successfully managed a 9,000-building portfolio spanning more than 3.5 million square feet.

From 2000 to 2005, Fucile worked at Hartman Simons & Wood as an environmental and land attorney and later went on to represent commercial real estate developers and contractors.
