Longtime office and industrial tenant representation specialist Rick Nash has signed on with Avison Young in Atlanta, where he was named a principal.
Nash brings nearly 30 years of experience to the new position, having most recently worked as a senior vice president with DTZ after spending 22 years at CBRE. His client list includes AT&T, Frito Lay, Zurich Farmers Insurance, Alcate Lucent, Electrolux and Medline.
Before entering the commercial real estate industry in 1986, Nash was a space craft engineer with TRW’s defense and space systems group in Redondo Beach, CA. He holds a bachelor’s degree in agricultural engineering from the University of Georgia as well as a Master’s Degree in mechanical engineering from the Georgia Institute of Technology and a Master’s in finance from Georgia State.

Liz Clare and Jacqueline Young (pictured, right) have joined Avison Young in Las Vegas – Clare as a principal and Young as a senior vice president. The experienced team will focus on retail in the market area while serving with Avison Young’s capital markets group. The duo joins the company from Cushman & Wakefield in Las Vegas.

SouthStar Communities tapped Thad Rutherford as its chief operating officer, putting him in charge of operations for a $200 million portfolio consisting of eight residential development properties across Texas and the Southeast.
Rutherford previously oversaw day-to-day operations as senior vice president while also managing a 40-person real estate team.
Rutherford holds an MBA in international business from the University of Miami, and volunteers with the Urban Land Institute (ULI), United Way and the Real Estate Council of Austin.

Parmenter Realty Partners, a real estate investment, management, and development company based in Miami, tapped Stephen Bronner as its vice chairman. Bronner first joined Parmenter in 2002 as a managing principal in the company’s Dallas regional office.
In his 30 years in the industry, Bronner has structured acquisitions and financed transactions totaling upwards of $1.7 billion with a clientele list that includes Stanford University, New York State Teachers Retirement Fund, The Alaska Permanent Fund, and California Public Employee Retirement System.
Prior to joining Parmenter, Bronner directed real estate acquisitions strategies as a senior acquisitions officer at Sarofim Advisors and Kennedy Associates Real Estate Counsel, Inc. He also spent time at IBEX Institutional Advisors, The Worthing Cos., Salomon Brothers, and Lincoln Property Co., where he first worked together with Darryl Parmenter in 1985.

Jim Karozos joined Colliers International as a vice president of industrial services. In his new role, Karozos will identify and manage commercial opportunities in the Indiana Region.
Karozos previously served as a commercial real estate advisor at Lee & Associates. Before that he held senior level national account manager positions for Pepsi, Miller Brewing Co., and Red Bull.

Chris Powers has joined CBRE’s occupied services group in San Diego. In his new role, Powers will serve as a vice president with the firm, specializing in aiding tenants with their real estate needs, including relocations, renewals, expansions and other dispositions.
Prior to joining CBRE, Powers was a vice president and tenant representation specialist at Cresa in San Diego. During his tenure in the commercial real estate industry, he has represented clients such as Wells Fargo, Rockwell Collins, XO Communications, and Charlotte Russe.

Jon Packee has joined Jones Lang LaSalle as a vice president for the firm’s industrial group, based in the firm’s Brookfield, WI office.
Packee brings more than 13 years of experience in the commercial real estate industry, with a focus on manufacturing and warehouse properties. His areas of expertise include tenant and agency representation and industrial investment and land sales.
Packee received his degree in marketing with dual minors in economics and political science from Marquette University. He is a licensed commercial real estate broker in Wisconsin and member of the Commercial Association of Realtors Wisconsin (CARW), as well as the Wisconsin Realtors Association.

CBRE’s Ontario office hired Eric Chen as a vice president to join the firm’s private capital group focusing on multifamily acquisitions and dispositions in the Inland Empire and San Gabriel Valley market area.
Prior to joining CBRE, Chen was an associate director with Marcus & Millichap’s national multi-housing group. Chen has closed more than 75 transactions valued over $150 million since 2008.

BECO Management, Inc. of North Bethesda, MD promoted long-time director of leasing Amy Gresinger to vice president of leasing.
The move complements BECO’s expansion of its leasing team. New team members Moshe Crane, Joseph Ely and Yanky Scheinfeld will support Gresinger and the rest of the executive team in achieving BECO’s future goals.
Gresinger joined BECO Management, Inc. in 2004. Prior to joining BECO, Gresinger served as a transaction manager for Public Properties LLC. She holds a bachelor’s degree in economics and finance from Southern Methodist University in Dallas.

CBRE has hired Monica Perez Wonus as an associate broker in the firm’s industrial services group. Based in the Orlando office, her new responsibilities will include building sales and business developments and working on leasing assignments throughout Central Florida.
Prior to joining CBRE, Wonus served as vice president – relationship manager with the corporate and institutional group at PNC Bank, where she handled managing and developing key commercial banking relationships in Central Florida. Wonus has more than nine years of experience in the real estate industry and has also worked with The Rosen Group, Wells Fargo, Mercantile Commercial Capital, and GE Capital.
Wonus received her CCIM (Certified Commercial Investment Member) designation in 2010, and has been a licensed real estate sales associate in Florida since 2005.
