Regency Centers Appoints Acquisition/Disposition Head for Northeast U.S.
By CoStar Research (NYSE:REG), a national owner, operator and developer of grocery-anchored and community shopping centers based in Jacksonville, FL, appointed Joanna Rotonde to lead its acquisitions and dispositions efforts for the Northeast region of the United States.A former assistant vice president for Urstadt Biddle Properties, Rotonde will be responsible for arranging the sale and purchase of retail properties for Regency in Connecticut, Massachusetts, New Jersey, New York and Pennsylvania.

Rotonde previously helped identify and close acquisitions of grocery-anchored and community shopping centers in the suburban metro New York area. She is a member of the International Council of Shopping Centers (ICSC), Urban Land Institute, Retail Network and a committee member for ICSC Next Generation.

Nelson Promoted to Principal at Trammell Crow’s Seattle Office

’s promoted Mike Nelson to principal of its newly reopened office in Seattle, WA. He will continue to oversee all development and acquisition projects, new business pursuits, finance and operations.

Nelson was previously at Schnitzer West for 14 years, where he oversaw all of Schnitzer’s office and regional multifamily operations.

His career also includes negotiating more than 2.4 million square feet of commercial leases in the Pacific Northwest, approximately $520 million of construction contracts, and led the disposition of more than $1 billion of commercial and residential asset sales.


Lee Joins Jones Lang LaSalle’s Capital Markets Group

added commercial real estate veteran Gary Lee, CCIM to its investment sales team in Atlanta. The former Cassidy Turley executive was named senior vice president and will work in JLL’s Group with Paul and Bob Johnson.

Lee is a 22-year veteran who has focused on selling and financing office, medical office, light industrial and flex properties. He was previously a managing director, principal at Cassidy Turley.


Childress Klein Expanding Property Acquisitions, Adams To Head New Division
By CoStar ResearchClay Adams has joined Properties to head up the ’s recently formed investment management division where he will focus on acquiring existing real estate in partnership with institutional investors. The plans to focus on value-add office, retail and industrial property in the Southeastern U.S.

The addition of Adams, who joined the firm as a partner in its Charlotte, NC office, extends the firm’s business into acquisitions from its traditional focus on development, leasing, property management and construction management.

Adams has held senior acquisitions roles with several large institutional fund managers that Childress Klein has done business with, including Wells Real Estate Funds and Jamestown Properties, where Adams served as director of acquisitions and chief investment officer from 2006 – 2011.

Prior to joining Childress Klein, he was a principal and co-founder of MXA Capital, which he formed in Atlanta with Steve McCarthy in 2011 to pursue value-add and opportunistic office investment strategies for separate account clients.


Moody Rambin Interests Hires Toups

Toups was previously with Capital Real Estate Commercial Inc. and also served with Colliers International and Grubb & Ellis. He brings more than 37 years of experience in commercial real estate, primarily in the east Houston market specializing in port-related industry and port-related real estate.

Doyle has sold and leased more than 20 million square feet in industrial space during his career.


Susanin Joins Colliers’ Office Division

Suburban office broker John Susanin has joined Colliers International in Philadelphia as senior vice president in its office division.

Prior to joining Colliers, he was a partner at SSH Real Estate for the past four years following an 11-year stint at GVA Smith Mack, where he was a top producer in their suburban office and received the “Largest Transaction” award in 2005.

He will be based in the firm’s Conshohocken office.


Lee & Associates Adds Bolt

Lee & Associates hired David Bolt as senior vice president and principal. Bolt will advise clients on the acquisition, disposition and leasing of industrial, R&D, and office properties in the firm’s Newport Beach office.

He brings more than 20 years of experience in commercial real estate. Bolt focuses on South Orange County / John Wayne Airport (Irvine Business Complex) areas. He has completed in excess of $1 billion in transactions in the last 20 years, working with institutional ownerships, private client ownerships, developers and REITs.
