Balish Appointed to President, at

Adler Realty Services (ARS), a division of Adler Group, has appointed Christopher Balish as president and chief executive officer. In his new role, Balish will be responsible for overseeing and guiding the leasing, brokerage, management, asset management, reporting and client relations aspects as well as overall growth of the firm.

Most recently Balish served as director – vice president at HDGM Advisory Services in Indianapolis where he led a national portfolio of more than eight million square feet in 28 states. Additionally he served as senior vice president – asset management with Healthcare Trust of America and first vice president at Lauth Property Group.

“Christopher comes to Adler Realty Services with over 25 years of senior level real estate experience and the proven leadership ability this position requires,” said Michael Adler, chairman and CEO of Adler Group.

Balish holds a Real Property Administrator (RPA) designation from BOMA and a Certified Shopping Center Manager (CSM) designation from ICSC.

Manning Joins Colliers Int’l

Colliers International, Inc. has hired Kevin Manning to lead its corporate services division as senior vice president in the firm’s San Jose, CA office. In his new role, Manning will oversee regional efforts in the Silicon Valley.

Manning brings more than 37 years of global real estate experience bringing together high-level integrated corporate solutions to occupier clients including , project management, strategic planning, financial engineering, lease administration, sustainability, taxes, audits, and facility management.

Manning started his career with Colliers Jardine in 1990, and more recently held leadership positions at Cushman & Wakefield and Cornish & Carey Commercial. He graduated with honors from Seattle University with a bachelor’s degree in psychology and urban planning.

Cushman & Wakefield Promotes Kuriloff to Executive

Cushman & Wakefield has promoted Josh N. Kuriloff to the role of executive vice chairman, based in the firm’s New York City office.

Kuriloff has been in the commercial real estate industry for nearly 30 years. In that time he has become known for creating innovative real estate strategies for complex transactions with the largest corporations and organizations.

Kuriloff is also dedicated to New York City’s hospital and health care community. He is a past honoree for Saint Mary’s Healthcare System for Children. In addition, Kuriloff serves on the board of directors for the United Hospital Fund.

Connolly To Head Up Acquisitions for Cousins

Cousins Properties, Inc. has promoted Colin Connolly to chief investment officer, placing him in charge of acquisitions, dispositions and opportunistic investments for the Atlanta-based company.

Since joining Cousins in September 2011 after seven years with Morgan Stanley, Connolly has been involved in a number of major office acquisitions for the firm, including Promenade, 2100 Ross, Post Oak Central and 816 Congress.

Prior to joining Morgan Stanley, Connolly worked in the investments group at CarrAmerica Realty Corp. where he was involved in the acquisition and disposition of office properties in Washington, D.C., San Francisco, Los Angeles, Atlanta, Dallas and Austin.

25 Years of Experience to

Kenneth Kaminski joined United Realty as executive vice president of asset management in the firm’s New York City office. In his new role he will focus on analyzing investments, improving property performance, and creating long term value.

Kaminski has more than 25 years of experience in acquisitions/dispositions, portfolio management, leasing, development and operations. Previously, Kaminski served as principal of his own firm, Marinus Consulting, and served as director and senior asset manager for Invesco Realty Advisors.

The newly formed United Realty Partners Group was founded in January 2012.

 


NEW YORK CITY

Parker Promoted to at Marcus & Millichap

Marcus & Millichap Real Estate Investment Services has elected J.D. Parker to first vice president in the New York City market.

Parker currently serves as regional manager of the Manhattan, White Plains and New Haven offices, as well as the northeast regional director of the firm’s special assets services division. He joined the firm in 2004, and was named to sales manager in Manhattan in 2006 and promoted to regional manager in Brooklyn in 2007. He’s held the regional manager position in Manhattan since 2010, and opened the White Plains office last year.

“J.D. brings extensive knowledge and experience to the position of first vice president gained from his time as a successful sales agent and in his management roles with the firm,” says John J. Kerin, president and chief executive officer.

Before joining Marcus & Millichap, Parker served as a dive master off the coast of Thailand. He received his degree in operations and information systems management from Penn State University.

Michaels Elected to Cresa Board of Directors

Cresa’s Board of Directors has re-elected Mike Michaels, managing principal at Cresa San Jose, to another two-year term. He has served on the board since 2005.

Michaels has more than 30 years of real estate experience, with a primary focus on tenant representation in the Silicon Valley and Bay Area. He is a former chairman of Cresa’s finance committee, former director of the Association of Silicon Valley Brokers, and the recipient of numerous awards and honors. He received his Master’s Degree in international management from the American Graduate School of International Management.

“We have a passionate and active Board of Directors, many of whom have been with Cresa for nearly two decades,” said Jim Leslie, CEO of Cresa.

 


PHILADELPHIA

Liberty Small Business Funding (SBF) has hired Abe Diallo as vice president, commercial lending in the firm’s Wynnewood, PA office. In his new role, Diallo will serve as commercial lender for the Philadelphia and Mid-Atlantic regions.

Prior to joining Liberty SBF, Diallo served as assistant vice president and credit manager at Hyperion Bank, where he managed the entire commercial loan portfolio comprised of real estate, commercial, industrial and construction loans while serving on its loan approval committee. He began his career as a junior investment banking analyst with Greenhill & Company, and held credit analyst positions at Republic Bank and Susquehanna Bank.

Diallo received his bachelor’s degree in economics with a concentration in business management, accounting and finance from Gettysburg College, where he continues to provide career mentoring to outgoing seniors.

 


NORTH TEXAS

Watson Promoted to VP at Marcus & Millichap

J. Michael Watson has been elected to vice president at Marcus & Millichap Real Estate Investment Services.

Watson started at Marcus & Millichap as a senior agent in Austin. In 2007 he took on the sales manager position in Houston, and the next year was promoted to regional manager in San Antonio – taking on the Austin office in 2009 and the Tulsa, Oklahoma City and Albuquerque offices last year.

Before starting in commercial real estate, Watson served as an officer in the U.S. Marine Corps for more than 13 years in both active duty and the reserves. He holds a bachelor’s degree in geology, and received his MBA from Texas A&M University.

 


SOUTHWEST

Bird Named VP at Marcus & Millichap

Richard Bird has been promoted to vice president at Marcus & Millichap Real Estate Investment Services.

Bird began his career at Marcus & Millichap in 2004, specializing in multifamily sales throughout Utah, becoming a top-producing agent in 2006 and 2007. In 2008 he took over as regional manager in the firm’s Salt Lake City office, and in 2011 he took on the Las Vegas office as well, having served as sales manager in the Denver, Salt Lake City and Fort Collins, CO offices.

Prior to Marcus & Millichap, Bird owned his own business. He received his bachelor’s degree in business management with an emphasis in entrepreneurship from Brigham Young University.
