JLL Hires Howard To Expand Multifamily Sales

LaSalle Capital Markets has hired Andrea Howard as senior vice president to expand its multifamily sales and financing platform in North and South Carolina.

Howard joins Jones Lang LaSalle from Grubb Properties, where she served was responsible for leading the firm’s multifamily acquisition and disposition practice. While at Grubb, Howard also served as managing director for Grubb Southeast Residential Fund II, assisting with discretionary fund raising and heading the acquisition efforts for seven properties totaling more than $106 million.

Prior to Grubb, Howard held positions at Camden Trust (formerly Summit Properties) and First Union Real Estate Capital Markets Group (now Wells Fargo).


BOSTON
Cushman & Wakefield Promotes Four Brokers in Boston

The Boston office of Cushman & Wakefield promoted four professionals on its metrowest and south suburban brokerage teams. J.R. McDonald (pictured, left) and Michael Frisoli (right) were named executive vice presidents, Stephen Woelfel was appointed director and Peter Whoriskey was tapped as a senior associate.

McDonald joined the company 13 years ago, most recently serving as an executive director. He co-leads the two brokerage teams with Frisoli. During his tenure with the firm, McDonald has been involved in the sale or lease of more than 30 million square feet of commercial properties. He is recognized as a top industrial producer at the company and holds leadership positions on two national C&W committees.

Frisoli, who formerly served as executive director, joined C&W in 2010. The 20-year commercial real estate veteran previously served as president and founder of Winrock Partners, was a co-founding partner of Richards Barry Joyce and also served as a senior vice president at Fallon Hines & O’Connor. He has leased or sold more than 20 million square feet of space and has been involved in many of the largest commercial lease and sale deals throughout Greater Boston.

 


CLEVELAND/NORTHERN OHIO
Rogers and Gustafson Join Colliers

Russ Rogers and Tom Gustafson joined Colliers International as principals.

Both are well known in office leasing and sales within the Cleveland market. Rogers and Gustafson were both previously at Ostendorf-Morris for nearly 20 years.

The duo will join First Vice President Chris Seelig and Managing Director Brian Hurtuk. With the recent hires, the new Colliers Cleveland office has four owners. The team announced its first big assignment, leasing duties for the 200 Public Square office tower in downtown Cleveland, early this year.

 


DENVER
Lunde Joins Avison Young as Principal

Avison Young added Marc Lunde to the Denver office.

Lunde will serve as a principal and managing director. He will join a five man team focused on serving the needs of office clients. Lunde has been involved in Denver commercial real estate for 27 years, and was most recently a senior vice president with DTZ, a UGL company.

His most recent deal of note was last years lease for MarkWest Energy that expanded the oil and gas partnership into 225,000 square feet on 11 floors in Tower 1 of 1515 Arapahoe. Lunde’s client list includes Scholastic Corp., CableLabs, ITT Education, Pason Systems and Cochlear Corp.

Sheehy Returns to CBRE

Bill Sheehy rejoined as a senior vice president for the greater Chicago area.

Sheehy was previously the managing director of tenant representation at Jones Lang LaSalle in Chicago for the past five years.

Prior to he served at CBRE as a first vice president.

Grosvenor Appoints New COO

Grosvenor Fund Management () has hired Bruce M. Ambler Jr. as chief operating officer for its Philadelphia-based U.S. operations. In his new role he will report to Robert Davis, ’s London-based global COO and to Alexia Gottschalch, CEO of ’s US arm.

Bruce Ambler is returning to the US from the United Arab Emirates, where he has worked with the Abu Dhabi Investment Authority since 2009, most recently serving as senior portfolio manager, real estate and infrastructure. Before joining ADIA in the UAE, he served in London as a director for Deutsche Bank AG, following stints with Lehman Brothers International , Munich-based HVB, Banc of America Securities, and NationsBank in Baltimore.

 


NEW YORK CITY
Rappaport Joins AY in NYC

Adam Rappaport has joined Avison Young as a principal in the firm’s New York City office, continuing the rapid growth of its tenant and landlord office leasing platforms.

The office leasing specialist brings 13 years of experience at Cushman & Wakefield, where he most recently served as senior director. During his tenure, Rappaport executed numerous leasing transactions including: SourceMedia, Inc.’s 142,000 square feet of leases at 1 State Street Plaza and 1 Whitehall St., DirecTV Group’s 138,000-square-foot lease at 1 Rockefeller Plz, and Infor Global Solution’s lease at 641 Avenue of the Americas totaling 43,000 square feet. His client list also included UBS AG and BlackRock.

 


HOUSTON
Jones Joins Avison Young in Houston

Lee Jones joined Avison Young in Houston as a principal.

Jones will focus on representing users, investors and developers with their land sale needs.

He has been in real estate for 20 years and was previously working at The Betz Cos. Jones also worked with companies such KB Homes, Lennar Homes, DR Horton and Larson Intermodal.
